Account data. The email address you use to create your account and sign in.

Product analytics. Usage analytics collected through PostHog Inc. (United States): application lifecycle events (such as app start, update and shutdown), screens viewed and which features are used. This helps us understand what to improve.

Service telemetry. Metadata about your browser profiles — profile names, operating system, browser engine and proxy country — and session and login events, including your IP address and an approximate location derived from it.

Payment data. When paid plans apply, payments are handled by payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

We never collect the contents of your browser profiles, your browsing history, or the addresses of sites you visit.

To operate the service: accounts, sign-in, profile sync and updates.

To provide support and diagnose problems you report.

To prevent abuse and fraud and keep accounts secure.

To understand feature usage and improve the product (analytics).

If you delete your account, we remove your personal data. Security and audit logs (such as login events) are retained for up to 12 months for abuse prevention and security investigations, then deleted.

You can disable product analytics in the desktop app by setting the BROWSERHAT_TELEMETRY=off environment variable. Core service telemetry (profile inventory metadata and session heartbeats) is required for account features such as abuse prevention and support, and is collected whenever you are signed in.
